Xyla Health & Wellbeing take to the podium at the Diabetes UK Professional Conference

The Diabetes UK Professional Conference took place from the 26th to 28th April 2023. The conference showcased a combination of exclusive plenaries and workshops, conference sessions, prestigious named lectures and networking opportunities across the three days.

We are proud that one of our Regional Managers for the NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme, Shonah Dougan, had the opportunity to speak at the conference, delivering a presentation to around 200 people. Shonah presented some key outcomes on recruitment and uptake of the NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme in diverse communities.

“It was really great to be able to look at health inequalities from an NHSE and provider perspective to understand how diverse communities have been affected in engaging with the NDPP over the last 6 years as we have adjusted throughout the pandemic. It was a really great session with lots of take home questions on how we can further continue to support ethnic minority populations and those from highly deprived localities to get access to this fantastic programme.” – Shonah Dougan, Regional Manager.
