Latest from Xyla – Digital Adult Weight Management

Our NHS Digital Weight Management programme has helped over 6,000 new starters across England since June, with weight loss for completers averaging -3.96kg.

“I’m very pleased that my GP referred me to this weight management programme. It’s made me more aware of what I eat and how to keep an eye on my weight. People keep asking me how I lost weight and they want to try the programme too!”

Our ‘My Coach – Our Journey’ strategy continues and means that service users have a dedicated, qualified weight management practitioner/dietitian supporting them throughout their programme journey. A recent service user survey also provided valuable insights into programme. We are now in the process of reviewing our programme content and service delivery model, based on this feedback.

All service users on our Adult Weight Management programmes receive access to our Wellbeing Way app. This enables all service users to track their health journey, provides invaluable resources written and created by our in-house multi-disciplinary team (MDT) – including psychologists, dietitians, physical activity experts, medical professionals – and gives access to a community peer support forum.

We’ve recently made some updates to our app, including a fresh look and feel, improvements to our integration with Exi, additional support to help service users achieve their activity goals, and the addition of our Chat Bot Paula – service users are now able to submit their weight reading through a SMS.
