Chandrika’s Digital Weight Management journey

Chandrika has been attending the NHS Digital Weight Management Programme with Xyla Health & Wellbeing and has seen some amazing changes since starting her journey. She has been happy to share with us some of her experiences and results.

What have you found useful about the Wellbeing Way App?

The app helped me focus on a healthy way of living and the online modules were very helpful. Also, my conversations with my Health Coach helped me see things in the right perspective.

What do you find useful about your coaching calls with your Registered Healthcare Professional? Have you felt supported throughout the process?

Yes, I felt very supported. The coach call helped me look at weight loss as a more holistic program and a way of life.

What changes did you make to your lifestyle, e.g. exercise routine, dietary, habits…?

I started to do more regular exercise and portion control with my meals.

What is your favourite part of the programme, why?

My favourite part of the programme is where I have been focusing on myself and staying positive. I think that is the way forward.

What challenges did you face with the programme, and how did you overcome them?

My weight some week was stagnant but I realised that more cardio and portion control is the key to weight loss.

What changes have you seen in any measurements that have been taken? E.g. HBa1c, waist measurement, weight, clothes size etc…

I’m pleased to say my weight dropped by 3 kgs from the start of the programme.

Would you, or have you, recommended the programme to others? Why?

I would recommend the programme to others because I saw results.

What would you say to those who are thinking about joining the programme?

I would say, follow the program and make it a way of life.

Are there any other comments you wish to make about your experience?

I am very glad I participated in this programme.
