Meet the guest speakers:

Chair: Dr. Marlon Morais MB ChB MRCGP PG Dip (Diabetes) MSc (Diabetes)

Position: GPwSI Diabetes, XYLA

An NHS GP based in Greater Manchester. He has worked in CCG roles and GP roles across the country.

William Hadfield MNutr RD

Position: Clinical lead Dietitian

A Diabetes Specialist Dietitian with interests in education and sustainable behaviour change.

Dr Shazli Azmi

Shazli Azmi is a Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer  at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Manchester.  She has a specialist clinical interest in the management of complex type 2 diabetes and micro/macrovascular complications. Her research interest is in diabetic neuropathy.

Dr Tony Willis, PhD, MBBChir, MCRP(UK), MRCGP

Position: GP and Clinical Director for Diabetes for North West London CCG.

Led the setting up of the North West London REWIND (Reducing Weight with INtensive Dietary support) programme, with the aim of supporting over 10,000 people with Type 2 Diabetes in North West achieve significant weight loss and medication reduction.
