Aim for 5 different portions of fruit and vegetables per day, but this is not a limit – feel free to have more!  

Aim to consume two portions of low fat/ sugar free dairy foods per day. A typical portion of dairy is a 200ml glass of milk, a 125g pot of yogurt or a matchbox size piece of cheese 

The Guideline Daily Amount (GDA) for how much an adult should have is a maximum of 6g of salt (or 2400 mg of sodium) per day. 

Many processed foods contain more added sugar than we realise, contributing to excessive energy intake and resulting in weight gain.

To keep health risks from alcohol to a low level, the Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) advise it is safest not to drink more than 14 units a week on a regular basis.
